Junior Production Designer

(Freelance, 5–10 hrs/week)

I’m looking for a junior production designer to support ongoing client work. This role will largely be execution within established templates + brand systems (not concept development).

You’ll do things like

  • Produce reports + marketing materials for clients. primarily in Adobe InDesign

  • Flow copy and typese existing layouts and apply brand systems consistently

  • Resize/adapt approved designs across formats (print + digital)

  • Create static posts/carousels using existing templates

  • Export organized final files (packages, PDFs, etc)

  • Implement feedback quickly and accurately. Typical turnaround times will be 2-5 business days depending on the scope.

This role is NOT

  • Logo/brand exploration

  • Concept development from a blank canvas

  • “Make it prettier” redesigns without clear direction. You’ll always receive clear briefs.

Program Proficiency

  • Must have: Adobe InDesign (you’re really comfortable in this program)

  • Nice to have: Notion (how we’ll stay organized), Canva, Adobe Illustrator + Photoshop

You’re a good fit if you

  • Have strong attention to detail (spacing, alignment, consistency, file organization)

  • Communicate clearly and meet deadlines

  • Can manage small tasks independently once briefed

  • Live in Canada (only accepting applicants who live in Canada)

Rate & hours

  • $30–35 CAD /hour

  • Ongoing, project-based (5–10 hrs/week) We’ll develop a routine that works with your schedule.

  • Potential for long-term collaboration and rate increases
